They leverage the strengths of UDO technology and are designed for archival storage applications that require secure, long-term data retention. Typical applications include e-mail archiving, record management, and IBM Content Manager environments. The libraries are available with storage capacities ranging from 1TB to over 38TB* through the combined product lines of IBM and Plasmon.

The P2600E, P2600W and P2300E disks are compatible with all 2.6 GB ISO compliant MO drives such as Plasmon’s RF6950. Plasmon’s P2600DW media is of the LIMDOW standard offering Direct OverWrite capabilities. The 8x (5.2 GB) product range using the mod520 drive, provides jukebox certified media, with 512, 1024 and 2048 bytes per sector in WORM or rewritable format.
