StorLife Server

StorLife Server enforces life cycle management, compliance, security and content storage processes. StorLife is built on industry standard web services technology and a market leading relational database, to deliver and scalable, high performance and resillient storage system.

StorLife Manager

Using a web-based centralised management console, system administrators can configure and monitor CAs storage devices, set life cycle management and compliance policies, schedule important processes and task such as verification, replication, access security and content disposal.

StorLife API

StorLife API provides fast, easy integration using industry standard Application Program Interfaces with third party software applications to securely store and quickly retrieve fixed content.

StorLife Server manages incoming requests from any application for the storage and retrieval of content and securely archives this information based on Write Once Read Many (WORM) technology across an array of independent magnetic storage devices. Based on the configuration, policies and scheduled tasks by the StorLife Manager, StorLife Server performs all the required processes to meet the requirements for Single Instance Storage (SIS), information life cycle management and regulatory compliance. StorLife Server performs key functions including the generation and verification of digital finger prints, content encryption, storage compression and access security. Leveraging the power and capabilities of the market leading relational database management systems (RDBMS) and Wintel based servers, including both 32bit and 64bit systems, StorLife delivers linear performance and very high throughput rates for writing and retrieving content from storage devices.

StorLife Manager allows storage administrators to perform the important configuration, policy setting, scheduling and monitoring tasks required to manage and optimise the StorLife Server via an intuitive web based management console. StorLife Manager's dashboard gives an immediate view on status of the StorLife Server, the storage devices and series types in use and the important tasks that are scheduled to run on the server. In addition to providing administrators with a view on storage utilisation of the StorLife Server associated storage devices, the Storage Management and Scheduled Tasks tabs allow administrators to perform important configuration, rule and policy setting tasks required to enforce regulatory compliance and schedule life cycle management processes such as replication and disposal.

StorLife Manager uses the concept of'series types' or retention classes to set the appropriate rules based on the value of the information and the compliance or corporate governance standards that must be enforced. Series types can be associated with different storage locations or devices to allow administrators to make the best use of their storage infrastructure. For each series type, StorLife Manager provides information on storage utilisation levels and enables administrators to predict future storage requirements.
